Makes me Happy

Do you ever find something that just makes you happy? On the way home from the kids' last day of water week day camp at Garbry Big Woods Reserve, we stopped at a couple of yardsales. I don't need anything really. I just like to look around. Lately, I haven't found much that I can't live without. But I found these little jars. I think they are old creamer jars. My mom had some when we were little. And, as I think about it, I'm sure I have one in a box somewhere. I picked one up wondering the price. The lady told me I could have the whole bunch of them for a quarter. Now, I don't really need 8 of these little jars. And what will Russ think about me bringing more junk into the house? But remembering dandelions we would take to mom that she put in these little creamer jars turned vases just made me smile. So, I bought all 8 for a quarter.

I showed one to Russ and told him that they just make me happy. And he understood. I have two in my kitchen windowsill waiting for one of my children to bring me a dandelion. And it will make me happy all over again.
